Workshops
All applications are subject to availability and confirmation. EduTeach reserves the right to refuse any application without stating reason.
Charges are per delegate. No discounts or vouchers are offered. EduTeach reserves the right to amend workshop content as necessary. There is no minimum number of delegates. In the unlikely situation where only one delegate books, the event will still take place at the discretion of EduTeach.
All cancellations must be received no less than five working days before an event. There is no charge for cancelling more than five days before. Cancellations less than five days before or failure to attend for whatever reason results in charges at full cost. Schools may, however, send a replacement delegate.
Cheques are payable to 'EduTeach Ltd' or payment via BACS (account details on enquiry). Payment is required within the terms stated on the invoice. In the event that there is a payment delay then a reminder and final demand may be issued.
No refunds are given for any reason except where an event is cancelled outright.
Signing subscribes the school to receive occasional EduTeach emails for marketing purposes. These email addresses will not be passed on or sold. Staff may unsubscribe at any time.
EduTeach Ltd reserves the right to amend or cancel if, for whatever reason, it is unable to deliver the advertised event. No financial compensation or time in lieu is offered or given. Alternative morning provision may be offered to individual delegates if this is deemed suitable by EduTeach. This would take place in the delegate's setting and at no extra charge.
EduTeach is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property or injury to persons before, during or after a workshop. Vehicles are parked within the venue premises at the owners' risk.
'Snow Days' and industrial action - EduTeach will continue to run workshops, regardless of the open/closed status of the school setting of delegates or their decision to strike. Cancellation policy still applies.
Quality Assurance: EduTeach takes feedback from delegates and presenters. Feedback/comments sheets may be available on the day or sent out to delegates once a workshop has taken place. All feedback is given careful consideration for quality purposes.
Complaints: Should a delegate or school wish to make a complaint about any aspect of an event, this should be done so in writing and addressed to EduTeach. Any complaint will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
EduTeach has no affiliation with any other organisation and offers no accreditation.
Data Protection Act 1998
Information collected on any booking or feedback form will be used in compliance with The Data Protection Act 1998. EduTeach Ltd collects this information for the purpose of running the event, email subscription and quality assurance. Data may be stored and used for future promotions within EduTeach. EduTeach will not pass on or sell this information to any other organisation. Feedback comments may be used on the website. EduTeach has editorial discretion.

1. EDUTEACH’S OBLIGATIONS
1.1 It is assumed that all assignments involve working with children and we confirm that we comply with all Statutory Guidance and Legislation.
Should an EduTeach Teacher for any reason be unable to complete an assignment, EduTeach will inform the school as soon as possible. In the unlikely event of an EduTeach Teacher proving unsuitable, you should inform us immediately and not later than four hours after the start of an assignment so that we can terminate it immediately. In this event no charge will be made.
1.2 EduTeach is responsible for paying its Teachers and for the appropriate deduction of National Insurance Contributions and PAYE Income Tax in a timely manner.
OUR VETTING PROCEDURES
1.3 EduTeach is committed to child protection and safer recruitment in education and strictly adheres to vetting checks which are made on all people who wish to work with children and young persons.
1.4 EduTeach teachers have Enhanced DBS certification and carry photo id. All are fully UK qualified and permitted to work in the UK within the school environment and have received Safeguard Training.
2. SCHOOL’S OBLIGATIONS
2.1 The School must ensure that EduTeach Teachers enjoy a safe working environment and receive instruction on how to operate equipment.
2.2 Schools must ensure that whilst on assignment EduTeach teachers are treated no less favourably than permanent staff members. From day one agency workers must be given the same access to collective facilities and amenities.
2.3 Whilst EduTeach takes all reasonable steps to vet and match the key stage of the teacher to assignments, we are not liable for any loss, expense, damage or delay in filling a booking, or any deliberate act of negligence, dishonesty or misconduct of an EduTeach teacher. EduTeach, however, does accept liability arising from its own negligence.
2.4 EduTeach has a duty of care to teachers placed on assignment. Whilst on an assignment, however, an EduTeach teacher is under the day-to-day supervision, direction and control of the school. EduTeach can only exercise responsibility when issues are brought to its attention or it can reasonably be expected that EduTeach should be aware of such issues. The school will comply with all statutory requirements including Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Working Time Regulations, by-laws and any codes of practise which the school is legally subject to for its own staff.
2.5 EduTeach recognises that Covid testing and vaccinations are a private medical matter for the individual. Should an EduTeach employee or representative test positive for Covid when displaying symptoms, then current Government guidelines should be followed.
2.6 It is inappropriate for any school to ask an EduTeach employee or representative if they have been vaccinated. It is a private medical matter and a personal choice. Should an EduTeach employee or representative voluntarily disclose their vaccination status, any change in the right to work and/or access to workplace facilities, services or employment opportunities would be deemed as discriminatory. Legal advice may be sought in such matters.
3. SUPPLY CHARGES FOR TEACHERS
Invoices must be settled within 30 days. We reserve the right to charge interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 on unpaid amounts after the due date at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
4. FEES : SUPPLY TO PERMANENT IN A SCHOOL
4.1 Where an EduTeach Teacher has been working in a school on supply through EduTeach and is subsequently offered and accepts a permanent position in the School, we consider this to be the ultimate compliment and a transfer fee of £300 will be requested.
4.2 All we ask is that you notify us when an EduTeach Teacher has been offered and accepts a post with you.
